My wow Moments

Well, as some of you know I have been gone for 10 days and I just had to share my happiness.  What a difference from last December traveling.

Last december, I had to have a wheel chair to take me to the airport gates because I couldn't walk well.   I had the people at the desks stop me to make sure they gave us a row with an extra seat in it empty.  I was not allowed in an exit row because of my weight and had to have the famous "extender seat belt"  Super embarrasing.   Then when we got to florida, I had to rent a motorized wheel chair car thingie to get around Disneyworld because I just couldn't walk it.

This December:  While I didn't go to disneyworld, I was able to EASILY walk the airports, asked for an exit row seat and got it with no comments, fit in the chair comfortably and could even cross my legs.  Seatbelt FIT! and I could even tighten it.. woot!  I didn't hang over the seat of the person next to me and the lady in the middle seat actually told us it was a pleasure to ride with us.   I went for walks and had no issues.  And on another note, Ive been to Disneyland several times and can now walk all over with no problems!

I thought it was exciting in October when I could go to a concert and fit in the seat and not stress about having an aisle seat.  This was 10 times more exciting and wow, traveling can be enjoyable!

I actually got bumped off 2 flights on my way home, got a free night stay at a hotel and 2 travel vouchers totalling $600.  that rocked as well.  Came home a day later but oh well! :)

Thanks for letting me share, this truly was a WOW time for me!

Big hugs and happy holidays!!

Whoo Hoo Jackie -

That is terrific news and I know how excited this makes you feel.  I feel the same walking through the mall.  Looking forward to no seat belt extension early next year when I go visit my folks.

Congrats on big WOW moment.  Hope to see you in January at the next coffee.  I missed the last 2 as well and I bet we are going to look so very different to each other and the others as well.

Congrats again, my friend.

May you have a very Blessed Christmas and Safe New Year.

Jackie, thanks for sharing your WOW moment with all of us.  I remember when I took my first flight after surgery.  I could not believe that I fit in the seat and that there was plenty of seat belt left after I was finished buckling myself in! You go girl!

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.
